Rocco studied performing arts in Professional Performing Arts School for middle school and is a senior drama major at Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School for Performing Arts. He has devoted much of his energy to raising awareness for several charities including Broadway Kids Against Bully and Broadway United and is an advocate for diversity.

Rocco was born in New York City and grew up in Queens. He is of Taiwanese American (mother) and Hong Kong (father) descent. He also enjoys playing and making video games.
