Jacob was born and raised in Northern Utah and began performing at the age of 4 where he had his first jobs modeling for JC Penny, and the instructional training videos "Hooked on Phonics." Jacob discovered a profound love for theatre while in middle school, and in high school took 1st place in regional high school drama competition for acting.
When he was 16, he competed in IMTA (International Modeling and Talent Association) in New York City where he took 1st Runner-Up in the category "I'm Ready for my Close-up." He then went on to study theatre at Weber State University where he performed in numerous shows, and truly grew as a performer and a person.
After attending school, Jacob lived and worked in Salt Lake City as an actor; signing with McCarty Talent Agency and working with various theater companies including Pygmalion Theatre Company, Hunt Mysteries, Salty Dinner Theater, Desert Star, and Good Company Theater.
In the summer of 2017, Jacob was nominated for Best Actor in a Musical by BroadwayWorld for his rapping skills, and performance, as the leading role, Usnavi, in the musical "In The Heights" with Good Company Theatre.
Making his move to LA, he has done multiple web series, short films, features, plays, student projects, commercials, and immersive theatre. He has worked with companies such as Rogue Artists Ensemble, Sacred Fools Theater Company, and Theatre Planners.
Some LA highlights include having his short plays," VIP", and "Channeling" be produced by Sacred Fools Theatre Company as part of their "We The People" series, and being awarded "Breakout Performance of the Year 2018-2019" by StageSceneLA for his leading role in the play "The Direction Home" produced by Theatre Planners.
He is also a series regular on the web series "Functional," which had its premiere in December 2019, playing the charming and sincere office fling, Tim. Jacob thanks his family for their endless love and support, and knows that his sister is watching and proud.
