After awakening-from coma-Dax was forced to overcome short-term memory loss, long-term memory loss, as well as 're-learn' basic motor functions such as learning to walk (again), and learning to talk (again).

As he recalls, Dax's brain eventually re-learned basic A-B-C's, 1-2-3's, and -in due time-proved UAB medical personnel to have falser preconceived notions as Dax was able to regain consciousness . After months of outpatient/inpatient hospital rehabilitation, he returned to his collegiate studies at UAB.

The first course he registered for was an Introductory to Acting 101 class. Always determined to succeed by the road less traveled McKeever's story is in development to become a film, tv, and possibly stage adaptation of a true story.

Regarding Henry, also a true story, was produced prior to McKeever's miraculous recovery.Also a competitive 26.2 mile Marathon Runner (Los Angeles , San Fran cisco, San Diego, Orange County, + Buenos Aires marathons), and Malibu Nautica Triathlon + South Beach Miami Triathlon, which consisted of 0.
