Chord Melodic is a British actor, known for Happy Valley (2014), Coronation Street (1960) and Coming Up (2003). Born on November 27, 1986 in Manchester, England as Christopher Michael Hall, he is of English, Irish and West Indian (St Kitts and Nevis) ancestry.
Melodic started acting at the age of 12 and was involved in numerous school productions. He had earlier learned to play the Violin at the age of 11 and later learned to play the drums at 13. Around the same time, he discovered songwriting and music production.
In addition to acting and music, he became a professional footballer playing as a striker for Oldham Athletic. He was prolific at youth and reserve team levels, and thus made his debut for the club in 2003 at the age of 16, just four months after graduating from high school.
This made him the second youngest player of all time to make their debut for the club at the time, after Wayne Harrison, the world's most expensive teenager, debuted at the age of 16 in 1985. After breaking his leg in 2007, he decided to retire from professional football to concentrate on his acting career.
