Ruan Weijing was born in Wenzhou,China in 1984. He had studied dancing for ten years since 1996, when he attended the Dancing Perfomance Class in Zhejiang Art School. In 2002, he was admitted by Beijing Dancing Academy, becoming an undergraduate student majoring in Classical Dancing.

The experience of dancing training for one decade allowed him to be good at many types of dancing, including Classical Dancing, Folk Dancing and Ballet. In 2007, he joined the Talent Show "Singing Aloud", reaching the Top 20 of male singers in the whole nation.

In the same year, he attended the Performance Training Course held by Chengtian Entertainment Co. Ltd, which brought him the chance to be the leading actor in Angie Chai's new TV series "The Black and White Wings of Cupid".

He acted as two characters, a twins who had quite different personality, and this experience made him the first actor from Mainland China to be leading actor in Taiwanese Trendy Drama. In 2011, he played as the leading actor in the film "Story in Xining".

With his excellent dancing skill, he played a boy who was living in the remote mountainous area in Xining and later fell in love with a Korean girl from a rich family with the common love in dancing. In this year, also, he acted in the film "Coming Back" directed by Li Yuan.

Though he started his acting career with a very high starting point, he kept hard-working with high productivity in TV series.
