Juan Gil is a native of Los Angeles, Ca and was raised just north in the city Palmdale, CA. He is of Dominican descent with both parents having roots in La Romana, Dominican Republic. Growing up, Juan was very active and loved sports.

He showed great skill in basketball, made All League in high school, and was recruited by Pierce College to play basketball. It was in college, where Juan found interest in the arts. By chance, he joined an acting class and fell in love with the craft.

Breaking Through Workshop is where Juan found his true passion and made the decision to pursue acting as a full-time career. Soon after he also began modeling and has risen in the ranks to become a top choice for many top photographers in the world of fashion.

Juan's most recent endeavor has been to star in and co-produce the independent feature "A Second Thought" based on a short which won Oscar award winning actress Octavia Spencer's Facebook Challenge. The film also premiered at 2013's SoHo International Film Festival in New York.
