Johnnie was born in England and found early inspiration in Rick Baker's American Werewolf in London and Thriller. At fifteen he landed his first job as a sculptor and painter but soon gravitated towards mechanical design and fabrication.

More than twenty five years later, Johnnie is still excited by the challenges of each new project. In recent years Johnnie has moved away from special effects and become a partner in Althea Films, a Los Angeles based production company specializing in documentary films and branded content.

Johnnie has always loved the camera department and for the last several years has been fine-tuning his skills as a camera assistant/ operator and is proud to have worked on such acclaimed films as Robin Williams - Come Inside My Mind and Above and Beyond: NASA's Journey To Tomorrow.
