I was born in Leavenworth, KS and raised in nearby Lansing, KS. I have always been interested in special effects, but didn't have the opportunity or chance to get involved in the field until later in life.
It was through my wife, that I got my first "acting" gig at a local haunted house. She worked with the sister of the person who owned the haunted house. After working there for a couple of years, and then at the Haunt for a local amusement park, I decided that it was easier to apply the makeup and blood to people every night than to take it off the makeup and clean up.
After I started doing makeup, opportunities opened up for me to work in films as a makeup/special effects artist and an actor. My first makeup credit was for Todd Sheet's Zombie Rampage 2. I love doing makeup and special effects and can't wait to see where it goes from here.
