Born just outside of Chicago in Gary, Indiana - home of steel mills and the late King of Pop, Jim was raised in the deep south; Montgomery, Alabama - Birthplace of the Civil Rights Movement. The very first time he ever appeared on stage was as the King of Fairyland in his second grade production of "Mother Natures New Dress".

He was told the reason he was cast in such a commanding and auspicious role was that he had the biggest mouth and loudest voice in school.Growing up, Jim often enlisted the aid of classmates and neighborhood kids to make his own 8mm horror movies and continued to perform in local theatre productions during high school and college.

After a year of university in Alabama, Jim moved to Hollywood to attend the Theatre Academy at Los Angeles City College for classical training in a conservatory setting. He was an award winning actor at school and a finalist for the Irene Ryan Scholarship.

Upon leaving LACC, Jim moved to the northern California coastal region of Mendocino where he joined other talented individuals to build a thriving local theatre community which still exists today. It was during this time that Jim began working with some of the Hollywood film companies shooting on location in the stunningly beautiful Mendocino coast and countryside.

That enabled him to become a SAG actor. After a few years, Jim returned to Los Angeles and worked with several small, but critically acclaimed Equity-Waiver theater companies such as The Company of Angels, Friends And Artists Theater Ensemble (F.

A.T.E.) and the Delacey Street Theatre in Pasadena. He studied improvisational comedy with the great Harvey Lembeck and the Mira Rostova Technique with the late Don Hotton. A few films and many stage plays later, family matters called him to return to the southeast.

Today he lives in the lovely town of Winston-Salem, NC and proudly calls Sheila Cochran and Red Willow Talent of Savannah, GA his agents for all things related to TV, films, commercials, voice-overs, etc.

Jim has an excellent ear for dialects; specializing in British/UK variations, Russian and Baltic/Eastern European regions.
