Jessica Leigh is an American actress, former model and competitive bodybuilder from Cleveland, Ohio. The youngest of three girls, her father was an executive mechanical engineer and her mother was a music and humanities teacher.
From early childhood, Jessica grew up studying professionally with the Cleveland Ballet, (renamed to Cleveland San Jose Ballet in 1998) where she performed annually in productions of Dennis Nahat's "The Nutcracker" during the early to late 90s at Cleveland's Theater District, Playhouse Square's State Theatre.
She simultaneously pursued her love for competitive figure skating with the USFSA as a novice until 2002. It was during junior high, however, that she was first able to explore her soon-to-be favorite medium of the performing arts when she began acting and working behind the scenes for theater productions.
Her high school career was predominantly consumed with performing in plays and musicals, taking acting in workshops after school and in New York during the summer, and modeling through Cleveland's local agency before moving off to college at Ashland University in 2006 to double major in psychology and theater arts, where she had "backup plans" of becoming a therapist.
At age nineteen, Jessica was offered representation in Los Angeles upon showcasing her acting abilities at a talent convention, and went on to appear in television commercials for Neutrogena, Tele2 and Hungry Man, as well as acting alongside celebrity Jack McGee ("The Fighter," "Basic Instinct") in Ordinary Average Guys within her first year in LA.
When her creative pursuits expanded toward writing and producing, she worked with MB Studio Productions as an associate producer for the pilot presentation "Shoot to Thrill," a docudrama on first-time firearm ownership, and in 2012, began writing her television series "The World Beneath Us," a dramedy type episodic that began pre-production in March 2018.
Outside of acting, writing and producing, Jessica has a few hobbies: a dedicated bodybuilder and trainer, she competed in the National Physique Commitee's muscle contest in 2017, placing 3rd in the open bikini division and becoming a national qualifier.
