Writer/Director Frank Hudec was born to a family of bookies in the New Orleans French Quarter. After college, he moved to Athens, Georgia, where his band "The Lemmings" played frequently throughout the Southern United States.
In 1990, he moved to New York City to study film at the School of Visual Arts.In 1995, Frank Hudec produced Lise Raven's award winning feature LOW. That same year, Frank helped start and now sits on the advisory board of the Slamdance Film Festival.
In 2000, Frank wrote and directed the feature film Building Bombs.While living in Berlin, he made the German and Russian language film Der Tausch (The Exchange).In 2005, his video art piece "psycho(s)" was featured in MGM's Milan Broad Band Week.
In 2010, he made two promotional films for partycrasher.us. One of which, "PC by PC (The Life of the Party)," was selected as one of nine fashion films to debut in n9 Production's contribution to the Big Screen Project at the Kimpton Hotel - a new jumbotron at 29th Street and 6th Avenue.
As of 2013, Frank is working on his first graphic novel Necropolis and his latest feature The Sleeping Shepherd (2014) inspired by the true story of the world's greatest art thief, who stole almost two billion dollars in masters only to have his mother throw them into a Rhine canal.
