Pablos comes from the U.S./Mexico borderlands of El Paso, Texas. Born to a Spanish-speaking family, he not only learned to speak English watching American movies but he also learned to assimilate and understand the world through storytelling.

He made his short film directorial debut with his magical realist western, Agua Dulce, which won several awards nationally and internationally, including Jury Prize/Best Short Film at the Ajijic International Film Festival in Mexico, "Silver Award" at the Houston International Film Festival, and "Finalist" at the 33rd Annual USA Film Festival in Dallas, Texas.

Agua Dulce was the "Featured Short Film" at the Hispanic Cultural Center Inauguration Ceremonies in Albuquerque, NM, and was an "Official Selection" at several more US film festivals, including New York, Chicago, Santa Monica, and Santa Fe.

With writing and producing partner Judith Cummings, Pablos formed Tribesmen Pictures, a production company where he directs, writes, edits, and produces in multiple formats including: documentaries, commercials, PSAs, and educational programming.

Clients include: Time Warner Cable (Spectrum), USC Latino Alumni Association, Charming Asia Tours, SABEResPODER, TELACU, California State University, Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce, San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, AECOM, the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute, and MALDEF, the nation's leading Latino civil rights organization.

In 2016, he made his theatrical directorial debut with Death by Poinsettia for Studio C Artists followed by two plays, Just Like Them and Man In Peril, for the Hollywood Fringe Festival & Studio C Artists.

Pablos recently directed a short film version of the play Man In Peril.In the world of commercials, he teamed up with award-winning director Lance Kelleher on campaigns for Dodge, Mazda, Renault, Chevrolet, and Cadillac that lens-ed in the USA, New Zealand, and South Africa.

For the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and the Motion Picture Editors Guild, he recently completed a series of archival interviews with notable film editors including Carol Littleton (E.T.

), Richard Marks (The Godfather), Thom Noble (Witness), Richard Chew (Star Wars), and Mark Goldblatt (The Terminator).Pablos recently completed the feature-length Documentary, When Peckinpah Met Chalo, a story about director Sam Peckinpah's kindred relationship with a Mexican-American truck driver who would later become, not only a collaborator on several films, but his Godfather as well.

Produced in part for MPTF's internal television station, Channel 22. It will make its rounds to festivals next year.Pablos is attached to direct a feature film, Angel Lady, for producers Dan Moore and Sheri Leigh Myers of Sheridan Films, slated for production in 2020.

A member of Writers Guild of America West, Pablos has also recently had a spec script optioned by former Paramount president Adam Goodman at Dichotomy.A USC Renaissance Scholar, he graduated with a double major from the School of Cinematic Arts and the School of Religion and went on to apprentice as production, camera, post-production, and director's assistant with several directors including: Walter Hill (Last Man Standing), Joe Dante (Second Civil War), Antoine Fuqua (The Replacement Killers), Jamie Blanks (Urban Legend), and Mike Figgis (Time Code, Hotel, Cold Creek Manor).
