Ara Woland started acting at the age of ten at the Stanislavski theatre in Armenia, while at the same time trained in classical piano. Ara successfully acted in and produced many films that screened at festivals worldwide. Throughout his film career he remained musically active. Earlier this year Ara's song "Highlands" became a finalist for Serj Tankian's 7 Notes Challenge. He is currently developing a film about the pioneer ethnomusicologist Komitas.
