Alkis Tzortzoglou was born in Athens, Greece. His father, Stratos Tzortzoglou is an actor and his mother, Maria Georgiadou is a TV writer and actress. Watching his parents work made an impact as he started having an interest in the art of film and scriptwriting.
He made his first TV debut in 2009's "Lola (2008)," while also making his first film debut that same year in Angelos Spartalis' indie film, "Efhes (2009)." He went on to play a significant role in the hit TV Series, "Vals me 12 Theous (2012)," playing in more than 50 episodes.
At the age of 17, he and his father moved permanently to New York, USA. There he performed along with his father in a Theatre play titled "The Shout" in Astoria, Queens. In 2019 at the age of 21, he made his directorial debut with "101 Knocks (2019)" which has won him awards in festivals such as the Independent Short Awards for best student director, best short film and best student film.
