Vladek Zankovsky is a film director, cinematographer and producer, known for his personal unique approach in filmmaking. Since childhood, Vladek had shown great interest in cinematography. The first films that he recorded with a friend's 8-milimeter camera, he never got to see.

Studied at the Heriot-Watt University (Edinburgh, Scotland).In 2000, Vladek piloted an experimental production studio Banana Film. Professional experience came to him in the process, while Vladek was learning directing, editing, lighting and photography, and screenplay writing skills, putting his new knowledge into practice.

By 2004, the studio became one of the top-rated in Central Asia and signed several television commercials and film production contracts with LeoBurnet, Saatchi & Saatchi, Procter & Gamble, Philip Morris and other large-scale manufacturers.

In 2006, Vladek decided to switch from advertising to cinema and started developing his own projects. As a result, in 2008 he succeeded with Illuzia.net (2008) web-series and his short film Embryo (2009), became and continues to be a viral web hit, piling up millions of views.

In July 2010, Vladek began preparation for shooting a full length feature film The Zohar Secret (2016) via Kickstarter platform. The film was successfully funded and released worldwide in 2016.In 2016, Vladek released another viral hit Once Upon a Time in Odessa (2016).

After success of The Illusion of Control: The Beginning (2017) Vladek started working on his new feature The Illusion of Control which is planned for release in 2019.
