Sylvia Veith was born Sylvia Davenport in Baltimore, Maryland. When she was three, her parents moved to Indialantic, Florida where her dad worked as a radar systems designer for the space program. She did her first play at the age of ten and has been acting, directing, and writing ever since.
Sylvia earned a BFA in Theatre and an M.Ed. in English Education from the University of Florida. She taught both English and Theatre in Georgia Public Schools for 25 years. Her award winning play for youth, "Prom Night," is published by Theatrefolk and has been performed in the United States; Canada; the United Kingdom; Hong Kong; and Australia.
