Sophie is a BFI NET.WORK x BAFTA Crew listed director. She has a BA in Film from Kings College London, and is a graduate of the NFTS Diverse Directors Workshop, an intensive year-long mentoring and training programme supported by Barbara Broccoli's EON Productions.

Her graduation film Uneatable premiered at Channel 4 in November and is now being developed into a feature as well as screening at BAFTA and Oscar qualifying festivals globally. In 2019 Sophie was shortlisted for Channel 4's 4Stories and she has now been selected for the Uncertain Kingdom film fund with Swan, a film produced by Screen Star of Tomorrow Helen Simmons, which is now complete and will tour cinemas in 2020.

Her previous film, The Trip, was selected by BAFTA and Oscar qualifying film festivals, screened at Hollywood's Chinese Theatre and was distributed by AMC's Shorts International. The Trip premiered on American TV as a primetime Saturday night 'Movie of the Week', and is now available on Amazon and iTunes.

Sophie's earlier short, Swoon, was nominated for Best Director at BAFTA-qualifying Underwire Festival and has been picked up for Little Dot's 'Tall Tales', as has Super.
