He began playing guitar at age 12 and by 16 music was an intrinsic part of his soul. He was already playing the local LA club scene by 18 and soon toured internationally, making numerous television appearances with the band Entourage.

He attended both the Dick Grove School of Music and then went on to study Guitar Arranging and Performance at the esteemed Musician's Institute. He would later round out his studies in Film and Television Scoring at UCLA and Berkley School of Music, advancing and cultivating his unique ability to infuse deep emotional clarity into the story.

In 1990, ABC named him Musical Supervisor for General Hospital where he remained until 2012. He mentored under legendary Gloria Monty where he learned and perfected the art of connecting music to picture the "Monty way.

" He soon became a contributing composer for the series under John and Tom Bahler. He was quickly named the SUPERVISING MUSICAL DIRECTOR for GH, while still composing for the series under the guidance of Martin Dacich (future composer for NBC series, E.

R., and Third Watch). RC credits Davich for furthering his musical expertise, stating, "Marty's guidance was essential to my growth as a composer." During that period RC worked closely with Ricky Martin who was then a cast member and whose character regularly performed songs live on the show.

ABC created the GH spin-off Port Charles in 1997 and asked RC to head up its music even while continuing to head the music for GH. He was also named co-composer for the new show which had a vampire rock star as part of its story-line.
