Ron Anderson born on February 7, 1946, in Honolulu, is an Opera singer and Vocal coach. Anderson, at the age of 15, began cultivating his love for opera, taking a lead role in an opera production at Long Beach City College.

Along with becoming a member of the Pacific Opera Theatre at age 16, he performed in some local choirs throughout his teens, at one point singing with the Roger Wagner Chorale in the last concert ever conducted by Igor Stravinsky.

During his final year of high school, Anderson received an offer to join The Association (the '60s pop group known for such classic hits as "Cherish" and "Windy"). But just before going into rehearsals with the group, he suffered severe damage to his vocal cords, and under the guidance of CBS chairman William S.

Paley, Anderson underwent a treatment protocol that involved spending eight months in total isolation on an uninhabited island near Tahiti. Once he'd completed that period of uninterrupted vocal rest, At age 18 returned to the U.

S. fully recovered and quickly immersed himself in intensive vocal training with world renowned conductor Fritz Zweig and his wife/fellow teacher Tilly, Anderson increased his range from baritone tenor, later he learned German, French, and Italian, the Zweigs sent Anderson to study dramatic interpretation with the legendary diva Lotte Lehmann,Ron also worked with the renowned operatic conductor Maestro Walter Cataldi Tassoni.

in 1982 with recommendation of Mrs. Zweig Ron Anderson made a stop in London to meet Benvenuto Finelli with whom he studied for 7 years and who was recognized as one of the last great masters of Bel Canto technique.

In 1977 Anderson turned his career to teaching and with his ability to identify the profoundly specific and wholly unique impediments faced by each student in their attempts at vocal projection. Anderson worked principally to correct those issues by guiding the student through making precise adjustments in their physical behavior, with the main goal of expanding the muscularity of the vocal tract.

He also became a go-to vocal coach for the film and TV industry, working them for roles involving singing. In addition, Anderson has devoted a great deal of time touring with artists, accompanying his students on the road to provide regular vocal tune ups and hands-on instruction in properly protecting the voice before each show.

To that end, he recently completed his last tour of many by joining for three and a half years The Weeknd worldwide tour, coaching the Grammy Award winning R&B singer through his demanding performances of 32 songs per night.
