Born in Boston Massachusetts USA, Robert began his acting career in 1995 by accident. At the time he was a junior martial arts instructor at the Boston Kung Fu Tai Chi Institute (one of the leading martial arts studios on the East Coast).
One day the head instructor announced that the movie "The Next Karate Kid" was shooting in Boston and was looking for martial artists. Robert had no interest in acting, but went for fun. To his surprise he was chosen for a part in the film and qualified to join the Screen Actor's Guild.
While shooting the film he discovered his true calling and developed a real passion for acting.During the next few years he trained vigorously in martial arts, took dance lessons and acting classes. All the hard work paid off, as over the next 2 years he was featured in the Boston City Ballet's production of the Nutcracker Suite as The Rat King, won 2 Silver and 3 Bronze medals awarded by the United States Wu Shu/Kung Fu Federation in weapons & forms competitions, and appeared in almost every major motion picture shot within a 100 mile radius of Boston (Good Will Hunting, The Spanish Prisoner, In Dreams & Amistad).
In 1998, Robert relocated to Los Angeles California to pursue his acting career full time. After pounding the pavement in Los Angeles for a few years with not much success, he realized that he needed training specifically for television and film, and began studying the Stanislavski method with John Sarno (a protégé of Lee Strasberg).
In 2002 Robert booked a co-starring role as Antron on the award winning show "The Shield". In 2003 Robert landed a starring role in the indie film "The Gun." A couple of years later, in 2005 he switched to the Meisner method at the Joanne Baron/D.
W. Brown studios and completed an intensive 2 1/2 year program. During 2005 while a student at JB/DWB studios, he co-wrote, produced & starred in the short film "The Pact".Between 2007 and the present Robert became a resident of Australia, booked four national commercials (Burger King, Iselect, Woolworth's and KFC), appeared on the longest running US soap, "General Hospital," starred in two shorts for The International Film School Sydney, and co-starred in the Australian Sci-fi/Thrillers "The Half Dead.
" and "On Halloween" Robert has also completed his first screen play entitled "The Art of Seduction," a comedy which is loosely based on a true story of how he was conned into becoming an exotic dancer and almost ended up in federal prison.
