Born and raised in a traditional, education-oriented middle class family in New Delhi, Rajiv's life has been anything but conventional - Dropping out of college along with his twin, and marrying his childhood sweetheart, Susan, outside convention.

Having tasted media as a spot-boy in a series of TV spots on Doordarshan, he started off his career in television as a trainee at the age of 20. Rajiv founded a media company in New Delhi, but exited it in 2003 to be with Raghu in Mumbai.

From that point on, Rajiv & Raghu have collaborated in many high profile shows. Rajiv, along with Raghu, created India's 1st and longest running romance reality show - Splitsvilla- on MTV, and found fame as the 'terrible twins' on Roadies.
