Pietro Torrisi is an Italian director, cinematographer and editor based in Los Angeles.Born in Crema in 1988, Pietro has been actively involved in Filmmaking since an early age. At 16, while studying for his Diploma in Science and Technology at the Galilei Institute in Crema, Italy, Pietro shot and edited a short film that was selected and won the local film festival.

Two years later, his passion for visual storytelling compels him to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Digital Film at the SAE Institute in Milan, where he graduates with First Class Honors. While studying in Milan, Pietro takes advantage of the lively art and fashion scene of the city to intern in respected production companies such as Bonsaininja Studio, Atlantis Film & Video, 4Friends Film, eventually landing a job as Post Production Supervisor at the aforementioned.

During this time, Pietro supervises a broad range of digital content including fashion show reels, motion graphics design, e-commerce, commercials and mood videos. Pietro's clients include international fashion brands like Gucci and Prada, and his work is showcased at events in Venice, Florence, Paris and Shanghai.

His desire to shift towards feature film production prompts Pietro to move to Rome, where he earns the opportunity to work as a crew member in the camera department of Distretto Di Polizia, one of the most successful Italian TV shows to be broad-casted on national television.

Thanks to this experience, Pietro realizes what his dream is: becoming a Cinematographer.In 2013, Pietro moves to Los Angeles to attend the University of California, Los Angeles, where he earns a certificate in Cinematography.

Within the end of the year, Pietro is already working in the camera department of Oscar winning directors Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman. On the set of their documentary "And the Oscar goes to..." Pietro gets the chance to meet over 50 Oscar winners including Helen Mirren, Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg.

Pietro's work as a cinematographer includes "Set The World on Fire", music video for the famous European pop-star Luca Hånni. "That's it!", indie music video for Preservation Jazz Hall and Genero.TV contest winner.

"Let them come", shot combining aerial, crane and steady-cam on top of a national park hill, over half a million views.Still living in Los Angeles, Pietro now works at Paramount Pictures and freelances as a cinematographer.
