Phil was born in Nelson, New Zealand. Initially involved in arts, music, electronics and large scale stage productions he began his career in the Cinema Industry as a projectionist and technician. He moved on to work as a technical manager for some of New Zealands' largest cinema chains before moving into the Film production industry in the late 1990's.
Phil had a number of years working for Oscar winning Director/ Producer, Peter Jackson as a Post Production film lab Technician, Digital Intermediate specialist and projectionist before getting inspired to develop his own projects.
