Paul Eads is a Los Angeles based Production Designer for Film and Television. A graduate of Kalamazoo college, he attended the Yale School of Drama and subsequently began his career in Theater and Film in New York City, becoming a member of United Scenic Artists Local 829 in 1979.

He relocated to Los Angeles in 1985 where he became a member of the Art Directors Guild Local 800 in 1989 and began to work in Television as well as Film. He has received three Emmy Awards for his work on NYPD Blue and Murder One for Steven Bochco, and Boston Public for David E Kelley.

He received an award from the Art Directors Guild for his design of Brooklyn South, also for Bochco. His more recent credits include the pilot and first season of Angie Tribeca, for Steve Carrell, the pilot for the NBC/Universal series Grimm, and six seasons of Major Crimes for Shepherd-Robin/TNT.

His Production Design work for Feature Film includes Frequency, Fracture, and Untraceable for director Gregory Hoblit, and Save the Last Dance, for director Thomas Carter. He designed the 2009 reboot of Fame for which he is also credited as Second Unit Director.
