American actor Michael J Rodriguez developed his love for acting through his church ministry at the age of 16; where he began creating, writing, directing, and acting in, various short dramas and sketches.
He and a team from his church put together these sketches and dramas for a multitude of retreats, conferences, and seminars, over a span of 25 years. This led to him and his wife being recruited to host a TV show airing on a local station called Catholic Television San Antonio.
The show was called Fanning the Flame. He and his wife were blessed to have had a successful six year run on the program, from 2005-2011.In 2011 after meeting an agent via a social media site, Michael reconnected with his childhood dream of becoming an on-screen actor.
Since then, he's had the honor and privilege of working with outstanding talent and professionals throughout the film industry. Some of the roles he's played include, cartel boss, detective, FBI agent, hit-man, and a sheriff, just to name a few.
His role as a Sheriff will be seen on an upcoming Western TV series hat is set in the mid-1800's called, Death and Compromise. Season one has been filmed and is scheduled to air in late 2020. He has also landed a landed a role on a new TV Crime Drama series called, Vice Squad.
He'll be playing one of the leading roles as a Vice Squad detective. The series is in pre-production.Michael's experience of both creating and acting in dramas and skits over a span of 25 years, has helped lay the foundation of the actor he is today.
