Lucas was born in Richmond, Virginia. He was raised in both Richmond and Beaverdam, Virginia. He attended Patrick Henry High School in Ashland, Virginia. Lucas attended Virginia Commonwealth University where he studied theatre performance.

After he studied at Theatre V.C.U. he toured nationally with Virginia Repertory Theatre (formerly Theatre IV), the Childrens Theatre of Virginia, for five years.Acting Career: Theatre: Lucas has performed in many theatres along the east coast from Wisconsin to Florida and Texas to Maine and every state in between.

In 2003 he portrayed Wilbur Wright in The Wright Stuff while on tour with Theatre IV. Lucas, as Wilbur Wright, was the Co-Grand Marshal for The City of Hampton's 2003 Holly Days parade in honor of the 100 year anniversary of the Wright Brothers first flight.

Lucas originated the role of John Smith in Theatre IV's first tour of The True Story of Pocahontas the musical. After touring with Theatre IV for five years, Lucas went on to work with several theatres in Virginia including Richmond Shakespeare (a Shakespeare Theatre Association member theatre), Swift Creek Mill Theatre, Mystery Dinner Playhouse, The School of the Performing Arts in the Richmond Community (SPARC), the Concert Ballet of Virginia, Sycamore Rouge and Virginia Patriots, among others.

In September and October 2012 Lucas portrayed Ezra Carter, Joe Carter and Dr John Brinkley in central Virginia premiere of Keep on the Sunny Side at Swift Creek Mill Theatre. In March of 2012 Lucas portrayed Chris O'Connell in the Richmond premiere of Jewtopia at HATTheatre.

In April and May of 2012 Mr. Hall portrayed Mr. Sipe in the world premiere of Scorched Earth at Barksdale Theatre. Scorched Earth was written by David L. Robbins and is an adaptation of Robbins' 2002 novel of the same title.

From January 2013 through April 2013, Lucas portrayed Rock and several other characters in Cotton Patch Gospel at Hanover Tavern produced by Virginia Repertory Theatre. Since 2006, Lucas has performed regularly in Liberty or Death at Historic St.

John's Church in Richmond. In Liberty or Death Lucas has portrayed several founding fathers including President Peyton Randolph, Thomas Nelson, Richard Henry Lee, John Tazewell, Benjamin Harrison, and Robert Carter Nicholas.

Film & Television: Lucas has worked on various film and television projects which have been seen on such networks as HBO, NBC, The History Channel, the Syfy channel, PBS, Lifetime, National Geographic Channel, Destination America, etc.

His film credits include a Continental Army Officer in HBO's John Adams mini series, 1st Lieutenant C.S.A. in Sherman's March on The History Channel, Sergent Cozzi in Watch on the Rhine which won Virginia Filmmaker Award at the James River Film Festival in 2008, Delegate Carter Braxton in Liberty or Death on PBS, Hunter #2 in The Feeding which premiered on the Sci-Fi Channel on July 11, 2006 prior to the official September 5, 2006 DVD release, a van driver on National Geographic Explorer's Nazi Mystery: Twins from Brazil, a Union Soldier in Killing Lincoln, a Union Soldier in Lincoln, Officer Atwell Dallas PD in Killing Kennedy, Mr.

Allenton on the March 25, 2015 episode of Monsters and Mysteries in America, James McHenry in the FOX network on season two of the Legends and Lies series, and Brian in Who's the Stiff?, among others.

Personal life: Lucas has been married to actress/singer Stacie Rearden Hall since 2009. Stacie and Lucas were featured in a Richmond Times-Dispatch article titled I DO I DO: Stacie Rearden & Lucas Hall in September of 2009 following their marriage.

The two met while touring with Virginia Repertory Theatre (formerly Theatre IV).
