Raised in a musical home with the sounds of Nat King Cole, Ray Charles, Della Reese and The Kingston Trio playing from the LP record player after school, she would pick out pots and pans from the kitchen and play along.
She eventually graduated to the piano in the garage and played for the neighborhood. Music influenced and shaped her thoughts and experiences. She interned as a board operator at KPFA in Berkeley for Pacifica Radio on the Eric Bowersfeld drama show.
Lori then sound designed at various theaters in and around San Francisco. She assisted as an engineer at Mobious Music recording studio in SF known for the Windhamhill Label. She also did a brief ADR assisting gig at Zoetrope.
She went on to discover the exciting world of documentary production sound mixing doing over 100 docs including a large selection of BBC projects. Lastly she entered the world of narrative production sound mixing for TV and features where she happily resides today enjoying the magic of recording dialogue and storytelling.
Her projects include A Single Man and Nocturnal Animals for Tom Ford, Mindhunter for David Fincher and several projects with David Ayer. Most recently she did additional mixing on Zoe Lister Jones remake of The Craft.
