Lindy Newton was born on May 25, 1957 in Waycross, Georgia, United States, is Actress. Lindy Newton began her acting career at age 10, performing on stage at the Waycross Area Community Theatre. By age 12, she had received the Deep South Theatre Coalition's Best Leading Actress award for her portrayal of Helen Keller in "The Miracle Worker".In May of 2004, Lindy graduated from the College of Charleston where she double majored in Media Communications and Theatre. During this time, she was cast as a cheerleader in Radio (2003) and played "Heather Lynn" in The Notebook (2004).Moving to Los Angeles in 2004, her first audition landed her the lead role of "Lulu Nichols" in Thicker Than Water (2005), a Hallmark Movie of the Week.Subsequent roles have included a co-starring role on Fox's short-lived Head Cases (2005), another Hallmark film Though None Go with Me (2006) and as "Young Trudy", the late wife of "Adrian Monk", in a flashback scene on the popular television series Monk (2002).Lindy resides in Venice Beach.

1985

In 1985, Newton met professional Wrestler Dick Slater while working as a stripper in Atlanta. Slater introduced her to professional wrestling, bringing her into Mid-South Wrestling as his valet under the ring name "Dark Journey".

1987

In April 1987, the Universal Wrestling Federation was acquired by the Charlotte, North Carolina-based Jim Crockett Promotions. Newton's contract was transferred over to Jim Crockett Promotions, and she became a valet for Tully Blanchard, a member of The Four Horsemen. Following The Great American Bash tour in July 1987, Newton was released from Jim Crockett Promotions, subsequently retiring from professional wrestling.

1990

After retiring from professional wrestling, Newton returned to Los Angeles. She worked in a number of jobs before becoming the manager of a clothing store. In the late-1990s, she opened her own chain of stores in Los Angeles County. In the early-2000s, she began working in naturopathy, gaining certification as a massage therapist and colon hydrotherapist.
