Laura Howard was born on 1977 in  Chiswick, London, England, United Kingdom, is Actress. British actress Laura Howard has worked extensively on stage and screen since she was in her mid teens, most notably as the longstanding regular character Cully Barnaby in ITV's Midsomer Murders. She has appeared in recurring roles in Soldier Soldier (Central Television) and Young Dracula (CBBC), leading roles in Jack Rosenthal Screen One films (BBC) and short films for Brag Productions and RSA Films, as well as numerous guest appearances for the BBC and ITV. Laura's stage credits include productions at the Royal Shakespeare Company, The Donmar Warehouse, Chichester Festival Theatre, Southwark Playhouse, Watford Palace and Liverpool Playhouse, as well as premiers of new writing at Theatre Royal Stratford East and HighTide Festival. She has also toured the UK in shows for The English Touring Theatre, Northern Stage, Touring Consortium and for Sir Alan Ayckbourn and the SJT.

Biography/Timeline

1992

Howard does not come from a showbusiness background. Her father is a shipping consultant, her mother a Psychiatrist, and she did not attend drama school. Her first major role came in 1992, playing the teenage daughter Tammy Rokeby in the BBC comedy series So Haunt Me. Since then, Laura has also had a starring role in the Jack Rosenthal drama Eskimo Day and its sequel Cold Enough For Snow. Her other UK television credits include Soldier Soldier, The Bill, Doctors and Casualty.

2012

She has appeared in numerous UK theatre productions, including the premier of Life of Riley by Alan Ayckbourn. In June 2012 she appeared in Ayckbourn's The Norman Conquests at the Liverpool Playhouse. In 2016 she appeared in two plays as part of the RSC's Making Mischief Season.
