She is also currently in pre-production for the short film, Cognitive. Kya plays the lead role of Abbie Sullivan in the psychological drama which is set to be released this year.Kya is a trained martial artist.
She received her black belt in Go Kan Ryu karate after ten years of training. She continues to train at dojos all over Sydney and has represented the style at a state level in Australia. Kya is an avid writer and is currently working on her first one-woman stage play, Monster.
