Klara McDonnell started acting in theatre at 16, when she got involved with Tallaght Youth Theatre. She later trained as a drama facilitator and worked with several youth theaters. She graduated from Ballyfermot Rock School in 2003. For five years, she co - wrote songs with Sean Cray, a guitarist/singer from Liverpool. As Hypno Puppet, they played in many venues and festivals in Ireland (Whelans, The Grand Social, Cyprus Avenue, Knockanstockan).
Their debut E.P. was released in April 2015, produced by Ruarc Stokes.This February, Klara will be appearing on a well known UK reality show, alongside her actress friend Dani Masterson.
