Kelly Thornton was born on April 13, 1997, is Actress. Chosen from an open casting for the leading juvenile role in Lance Daly's award winning feature Life's A Breeze with Fionnula Flanagan and Pat Shortt (See Official Trailer below), Kelly was nominated for a Lead Actress Film IFTA Award in 2014. Actor Zachary Quinto presented Kelly with the Bingham Ray New Talent Award at the 2013 Galway Film Fleadh. Since then Kelly has been cast in a guest lead in RTE's most successful TV drama, Love Hate and appeared in season four of the show in the Autumn of 2013. Kelly will appear in John Carney's new feature film Sing Street opposite Maria Doyle Kennedy and Jack Reynor. Kelly most recently finished shooting the role of Corrina Mallon on RTE's mini - series Clean Break directed by Gillies MacKinnon. She plays the lead role of Molly in the short film Battle by Megan K.Fox, an uplifting story about a teenager finding strength and happiness in music in the face of her battle with depression.

2013

In late 2013, Thornton made her Irish television debut, featuring in the fourth series of the popular RTÉ Television drama Love/Hate, playing the part of Kellie in a single episode appearance. In 2015, Thornton got her biggest role to date, starring as Corrina Mallon in the four part RTÉ drama Clean Break. The series, directed by Gillies MacKinnon and Damien O’Donnell, told the story of Frank Mallon, Corrina's father and a car dealer. Struggling to make ends meet, Frank kidnaps the family of his local bank manager and consequently finds himself involved with some notorious local Criminals. A second series of the show has yet to be announced by RTÉ.

2016

In October 2016, Thornton featured in the music video for Don't Mind Me by Irish alternative rock band Walking on Cars.
