Zimmerman's the Chief Operating Officer of graphic novel publisher A Wave Blue World, and his written work includes both comics and scripts. On the script front there's Stephen King's The Man Who Loved Flowers (approved by King), Break In (optioned), The Walls (optioned) and the official adaptations of his comic series The Killing Jar and Other Worlds.

On the comic front, thousands of pages of comic work including The 27 Run (AWBW), The Killing Jar (AWBW), Other Worlds, Other Worlds: Fer Kidz, Safe, Dr. Holman's War, Love Is Love (DC / IDW) and Flyer (featured in the Broken Frontier Anthology).

Zimmerman's received support as far-reaching as the OU / Parry / Billman Fine Arts Grant, the Ohio Arts Council Fellowship, OAC Individual Artist Grant and OAC Project Grant, a Western Foundation Grant and a National Association of Theater Owners Grant.
