Award-winning director, Doug Atchison, hired Julie to write the life story of visionary Debrah Constance.Julie's thriller, Dark Desire, was commissioned by veteran director Armand Mastroianni and starred Nic Robuck, Kelly Lynch, and Michael Nouri.

It was acquired by Lifetime and voted favorite movie of the year by the network's viewers.Julie teamed up with Eilhys England and Gill Holland to direct and produce her screenplay, Getting Off (aka Remembering Sex), which starred Oscar-nominated Amy Ryan, Tony-nominated David Marshall Grant, Brooke Smith, Bill Sage, and Garrett Dillahunt.

It won The Audience Award at The ARPA International Film Festival and The Broader Vision Award For The Greater Good at The Garden State Film Festival. Getting Off was acquired by Showtime, Netflix and Hulu.

Early in her career, Julie was an on-camera personality. She wrote, produced and hosted twenty-five episodes of the international PBS travel show, Great Finds. She also hosted thirty-six episodes of Kickboxing on ESPN as well as twenty-five episodes of RollerJam on TNN.

Julie appeared in a number of independent films: Evan Dunsky's The Price Of Crude opposite Doug McGrath; Bill Vernick's Telly Award winning film, You'd Better Be Right, opposite Bill Sage; The Outfit with Lance Henrickson and Billy Drago; Greg Lamberson's Undying Love opposite Tommy Sweeney; Susan Shapiro's A Fare To Remember opposite Bill Curry and Mayor Ed Koch, and Christopher C.
