Jonathan Zarantonello is an Italian writer, producer and filmmaker.Born in Vicenza, Italy, Jonathan graduated with a degree in movie direction from the Civica Scuola di Cinema in Milan and studied special effects, screenwriting, and editing at the University of Southern California.

Jonathan founded the production company Emergency Exit Pictures Inc. and with Italian television RAI he produced and directed the thriller The Butterfly Room based on one of his novels. The movie was shot in Los Angeles with an all-star cast and features Barbara Steele.

The movie won several prizes at major European festivals and was theatrically distributed in the United States, Italy, Russia and other countries.In co-production with the Academy Awards nominated production company Frame by Frame, he wrote, directed and produced the comic feature Spoof, a mix of 3D, animation and live action.

Spoof is in post production.Jonathan's first book Basta Che Respirano was made into the movie UncuT, which he wrote and directed. UncuT premiered at the Tribeca and the Locarno Film Festivals. It got an Italian and a United States theatrical distribution and is a love story narrated and framed exclusively using the actor's penis.

For Fox Life, Jonathan created the TV Show Find Me a Man, recognized at Cannes Mipcom as one of the most innovative TV formats of the year. It's an hour-long candid camera that follows men as they answer an ad posted by a businesswoman who's looking for a man to do household jobs, to meet her unusual demands, and to entertain her.

During his last year of high school, Jonathan shot the horror comedy Medley, that received a nomination at the Italian journalists' Silver Ribbons for best first time director. The movie was theatrically released in Italy and got picked up by the cult company Troma Inc in New York for international distribution.
