John Perivolaris was born on March 11, 1992 in Rhodes, Greece, to Eleni Perivolari and Evangelos Perivolaris. At the age of five, John travelled to Glasgow, Scotland to visit his brother, who was at the time studying computer engineering at the University of Strathclyde.
He claims that's when he fell in love with Glasgow and swore to return and live there. Growing up, John spent his days watching films and anime, as well as shooting and editing sketches and other videos of his own.
At the age of 18, John moved to the suburbs of London, England to live with his brother and embark on a career in IT. Five years later, John fulfilled his childhood vow and moved to Glasgow. He continued his IT career in Glasgow's IT call centres, but over time he grew severely unhappy, as he found himself not following his life-long passion for filmmaking.
