Jessica Sharples is a Los Angeles based actor, writer, and filmmaker. Born on October 18, 1991 in Baltimore, Maryland; she is the eldest of three girls. Jessica grew up performing, acting, singing, and playing the piano and guitar.
In 2006 her family relocated to Berwyn, PA, a suburb of Philadelphia. Jessica attended Conestoga High School where she was a color guard captain for the school's marching band, threw shot put for the track team, and performed in the school's fall plays and spring musicals.
After high school, Jessica attended New York University's Tisch School of the Arts and received her B.F.A. in Acting. While at NYU, Jessica studied The Method at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute.
There she performed in multiple plays and musicals including: "Into the Woods," Maxim Gorky's "Vassa Zheleznova" (directed by Broadway director Moritz von Stuelpnagel), and the world-premiere of "Love Lab" (written by Lila Feinberg and directed by Gaye Taylor Upchurch).
Prior to graduation, Jessica also premiered her first short play at Theatre for the New City in NYC and appeared in the cult film Powerplegic.After graduating from NYU, Jessica continued her studies at Stonestreet Film Studio, The PIT NY, and The Ruby LA.
She has made guest appearances on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (NBC) and True Crime with Aphrodite Jones (ID). You can also see her in several commercials for well known brands such as Buick, Evite, Marriott Hotels and Lumenis.
Jessica is in post production for her short film, JEN, 28; of which she is the writer, creative executive producer, and star. JEN, 28 shines a light on the misinterpreted "gray" area of date rape. In the film, Jen and Adam challenge each other's actions when their perfect first date takes an unexpected turn.
Jessica hopes this film will inspire men and women to come together and continue the conversation of consent after seeing her main characters start it on screen.
