His documentaries include a series of five short films about Kentucky folk artists (Minnie Adkins: Portrait of as Folk Artist, Chisel, Hell in a Size Twelve, 64, and The Assembler) and one about a Menifee County sorghum producer.

These works have aired on KET, played at film festivals and on television worldwide, and have earned him a 2009 Distinguished Creative Productions Award from Morehead State University. His longer projects have included several television series: a series of 13 half-hour shows called Kentucky Music, a series of 9 two-hour shows highlighting classic Hollywood films called The Video Vault, and most recently 12 half-hour shows called How Hollywood Does It, which explains the various techniques and movements of film.

All shows are being broadcast on KET (the PBS affiliate for the state of Kentucky). His video installation projects have been presented in Ohio, Illinois, South Carolina, and Kentucky. At Morehead State, he helped to create a Film Studies minor and has run a 48-hour Film Challenge for students since 2004.
