The choice to act professionally was a natural progression. Jean is eternally grateful to the Director of Theatre at KSU, Joel Climenhaga, who encouraged her to go professional and inspired her to fulfill dreams beyond what she imagined possible.
For more than 30 years, Jean has worked as a SAG actor with over 100 credits to her name, including hit shows like THE KOMINSKY METHOD, MOM, HAWAII 5-O, and many, many others. At the same time, she raised her son as a single mom and ran her own business where she produced workshop events for the entertainment industry.
She also owns DON'T SHOOT YOURSELF, a self-tape audition company where she coaches and tapes actors. In September of 2019, Jean won a life time achievement award at the NEW VISION INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL.
She is very grateful to be honored and dedicates this award to all the actors in the trenches who persevere day after day, working hard on their craft and career, doing whatever it takes to continue - And often with little reward.
