Jean-Christophe is also a drama/action screenwriter-director while keeping developing original exploration projects to the far ends of the globe."Passage to Mars", narrated by Zachary Quinto, (theatrical US release 2016) received Best Picture Awards and nominations.

He also has created in 1992 the renowned environmentalist organization, Jules Verne Adventures, that he launched in his early 20's with Jacques Cousteau and writer Frédéric Dieudonné. Jules Verne Adventures has involved James Cameron, George Lucas, Harrison Ford, Jane Goodall, among many other A-list players in arts and sciences.

Early career: after completing the French Conservatoire du Cinema in Paris, he makes his first documentaries while enrolled in the Navy during the Lebanon war aboard French aircraft carrier Foch, before writing, producing and directing his first feature for Television in 2000, "Devil's Islands", shot in South America and the documentary-western "Red and White".

Both films inaugurated the international distribution of his series of adventure-exploration epics to re-discover the world. Jean-Christophe Jeauffre is a member of the New York's Explorers Club.
