Jaymes (James Robert) Sygrove was born in Luton, Bedfordhsire to his mother Susan Christine Sygrove a primary school specialist TA and his father Graham Leslie Sygrove a gas engineer (now retired). He has an older brother (Ian Christopher) and a younger sister (Heather Louise).
Jaymes studied at Icknield High School in Luton, later moving on to study drama and English at Luton 6th Form College. He then took a B-Tec course in performing arts at the Hitchin Center for the Arts, where he achieved top honors.
Jaymes went on to train professionally at the Guildford School of Acting (GSA) graduating in 2008 with a First Class Honors degree. Since graduating he has performed professionally in theatre, film and television.
He has originated many roles both in theatre and on film, and can be seen in the new short Our Day Will Come by Stephen Coll (MET Film School) which recently premiered at the 2017 Golden Knight International Film Festival in Malta.
