Born James Wallace Adams and better known as Jay Boy Adams, this vocalist, guitarist, songwriter, and master musical storyteller performed with the Allman Brothers Band, ZZ Top, and the Texas Tornados and released solo albums titled Jay Boy Adams (1977); Fork in the Road (1978); The Shoe Box (2007); and Let It Go (2014).
After briefly attending the University of North Texas, he formed a Houston band called Hayseed and went on to play with a group called The Chateau Club before returning to college at Texas Tech University.
