Ingela 'Iggi' Ogard was born and raised in Sweden. She moved to London to attend the renowned Chelsea College of Art and Design and followed up with a degree in film making at the University of Westminster.
Her first foray into directing was in music videos where she honed her craft.Throughout her career Iggi has split her time between directing and working as an on-air promo producer/ editor for numerous television networks, including BSkyB, Nickelodeon, Esquire Network, E! Entertainment and many more.
She won a Promax Gold Award for her on-air campaign for "Bond Fever" for the Scandinavian Network TV3. She has worked on several editing projects with actor/director Gary Oldman, edited the documentary short "Take Flight" directed by actress Juliet Landau, and worked extensively with celebrated directors Meiert Avis and Glen Wexler.
Iggi also worked as a segment editor on the critically acclaimed documentary film about the world-famous Russian punk band Pussy Riot, produced by Lyndon Chubbuck.She teamed up with writer & actor Renee Faia to make the short film 'Beautiful Dead Things' which during it's festival run won awards in Cannes, Houston and Toronto, and was acquired by Shorts.
tv. In January 2020 Iggi was awarded by Diversity in Cannes as one of the Top 10 Filmmakers of the Decade.
