This ravishing and sensuous damsel chanced upon modelling when she was spotted by Sara Jean Underwood, 2007 Playmate of the Year, at a bebe store where Ljungqvist was working. Playboy had no doubt in recognizing her potential and although Ljungqvist never thought of becoming a model in her wildest of dreams, she plunged in to grab the opportunity. In March 2008, she became Playboy's Playmate of the Month. The following year, she added another feather in her cap by garnering the title Playmate of the Year in its 50th anniversary. Ljungqvist dedicates lot of time in charitable activities and became the first Playmate of the Year who dedicated the title to charitable work. She works in raising both awareness and funds for the global non-profit sustainability think-tank ‘Empowerment Works’. She has featured in TV programs ‘Last Call With Carson Daily’ and ‘The Girls Next Door’.

2007

In December 2007, Ljungqvist married Joshua R. Lang. After 5 years together, Lang filed for divorce in September 2008. In November 2008, MSNBC reported a custody struggle between them over their pet Chihuahua.

2009

In May 2009 she was sued by Katrina Kantner who claimed that Ljungqvist received $90,000 from Kantner's ex-husband, Doug, during a period of time when he neglected his $10,000 monthly child support payments. Kantner dropped the lawsuit in November of that same year.
