Hasse Brontén was born on March 19, 1967 in Sweden as Hans Roland Brontén. He grew up in a bilingual home in Stockholm with his German mom Uta, Swedish dad Roland and his three brothers.Between 1988 - 1991 Hasse attended the Swedish Police Academy and after graduating he worked 15 years within the police force.
He worked in uniform, in plain clothes, at Säpo (Swedish FBI), as an investigator and captain.In 2004, Hasse made his stand up debut at the classic comedy club Norra Brunn in Stockholm, while still working as a police officer.
It was a success and in 2005 he was awarded "Rookie of the Year" at the Swedish Standup Awards.In 2006 Hasse decided to quit the police force and made a huge career change to truly follow his passion for acting and comedy.
