Georin Aquila was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the oldest of five children of Harry Oliver, a retired Firefighter, and Sylvia (Matthews) a mental health employee. He grew up in a middle class area on the East side of Pittsburgh.
He got the nickname "Big G" because of his size and the way he dominated on the cities basketball courts.Georin discovered his passion for the arts while being on the set of Those Who Kill (2014). He went on to work with the Quantum Theatre, GRW Theatre through Point Park University, and Pittsburgh Playwrights Theatre to continue sharpening his skills.
