The family lived in the west Los Angeles neighborhood of Brentwood until his parents divorced in 1973, when Dominic and his siblings moved with his mother to the small beach community of Pacific Palisades.

Dominic spent most of this youth playing sports, in the ocean or on the beach of his coastal hometown and graduated from Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, California. Born of a long line of strong, wise immigrants, who came to America to create a better life, Dominic understood the value of hard work-supporting himself through earning a Bachelor's Degree in Mixed Media Studio Arts from California State University, Long Beach, while maintaining near perfect GPA and pursuing his studies of acting, film and media production.
