Her first stage performance was in william Saroyan's "My Heart's in The Highlands" at age 10. She won critical acclaim for her performance at The Student in Eugène Ionesco’s The Lesson at age 14. From the early 60’s until her casting on the Virginian in 1965, she worked tirelessly to improve her acting skills through the theater.
