Born in New York City, Debra left the US with her parents and her younger brother (jazz musician Billy Townes) before the age of two and spent the early part of her childhood in Okinawa (Japan). Her early teens were in El Paso, Texas, and her late teens were in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Her mother is Panamanian/Jamaican; her father from Virginia of African-/Native-American heritage. Debra takes delight in traveling and discovering unique and effective ways to naturally heal and rejuvenate your mind, body, and soul.
Her education thus far includes a BA in English from Boston University, training at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, and concentrated studies in Educational Psychology at Columbia University.
She has further studied metaphysical psychology, holistic health counseling, aesthetics, massage therapy, aromatherapy, and music. At the age of 34, Debra decided to start her own holistic day spa.
