In 2008, Dave acted in "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen", as a flight medic along with Shia Lebouf, Megan Fox, Josh Duhamel, and Tyrese Gibson.Dave was a 2010 Outstanding Graduate of Dona Ana Community College, receiving his Associate in General Studies.

In 2011, Dave started the digital film program (Creative Media Institute) at New Mexico State University focusing in Producing and Directing. Graduating in 2013, Dave received a Bachelor of Creative Media with Honors.

Shown at the 2016 Festival de Cannes, "Buffalo", was co-produced by Dave Witt. In 2016, produced by Dave Witt, "Goin' for Picture" is the winner of the Las Cruces International Film Festival's TV Pilot Contest.

Dave is the writer, director, and producer of DOC, screened at the GI Film Festival nicknamed "The Sundance for the Troops", and is the winner of multiple awards. Dave produced and edited the feature film "The Heart Outright", written by the Academy Award nominated writer of "Children of a Lesser God", Mark Medoff.

Dave is the CEO/ Executive Director of the Borderlands Film Festival, a multi-city/cultural event, and owner of Witt Vision Entertainment a full service production company located in Las Cruces, NM.
